Play by text or phone call

SMS and voice now enter the same canonical match and event-bracket system as browser play. No public number is advertised until the provider, consent, recovery, and event-day operating path pass production validation.

Software-ready, provider-gated: private throws, retry-safe settlement, event-code routing, and bracket advancement are implemented. WRPSA will not publish a placeholder number or claim a message or call created an official result before a provider is connected and verified.

Play by text message

Practice, accept a challenge, or enter a supported event with simple ROCK, PAPER, and SCISSORS replies.

  1. 1Receive an event or challenge code
  2. 2Reply with a private throw
  3. 3Receive the settled round and next action

Play by phone call

Use keypad or speech input for guided training and supported call-in competitions.

  1. 1Choose training or enter an event code
  2. 2Make a private throw after the cadence
  3. 3Hear the verified result and score

Integrity boundary

Signed and rate-limited provider callbacks, durable line-specific STOP/START state, private simultaneous selection, linked-phone checks for sanctioned play, and duplicate-settlement protection are built into the channel spine. Direct replies stop after opt-out; proactive match alerts require affirmative opt-in and a stable delivery request ID. Calls and video are not recorded by default.

Release still requires migration and provider-sandbox validation, an approved provider and number, retention/deletion/export and number-reassignment policies, delivery-status reconciliation, outage drills, event-day manual recovery, abuse monitoring, and a documented operator runbook.
